For parents of kids 6 to 12
Does your kid want to build an app?
Turn their idea into a real video game, together, in about 15 minutes. You describe the characters, our kid-safe AI draws them, your kid picks how it plays, and it can go live on our free, ad-free arcade with their name on it.

From "I have an idea!" to a game they can share
The game maker for kids that starts with their imagination, not with code.
- Dream it up together
Sit with your kid and describe their hero, what gets in the way, what to collect and where it all happens. "A purple dragon who loves pancakes" works great.
- Our AI draws it
Each idea becomes a picture in a friendly cartoon style. Every request and every drawing passes our safety checks before your kid sees it.
- Pick how it plays
Jump, fly or steer. Points, beat the clock or how far you get. Easy, normal or hard. Then play it together right away.
- Share it on the arcade
When you're both happy, you send it in. A real person on our team plays it, and it goes live with your kid's name on it (if you choose).
What your kid actually learns
Making a game is the most fun way to practice the skills behind every app.
- Describing ideas clearly
Kids learn that clear words get better results, the same skill behind good writing and good prompts.
- Game design thinking
Goals, obstacles, rewards and difficulty: the building blocks of every game and app.
- Test and improve
Play it, notice what's off, try again. The loop every real developer lives in.
- Storytelling
Who is the hero, what do they want, what stands in the way?
- Finishing a project
A small, complete game beats a giant idea that never ships.
- Pride in their work
Their name on a real game that family and friends can play.
Games made by kids
Every game on the arcade started as a kid's idea. Free to play, no ads, no sign-up.
Safe by design, not by promise
We built this for our own kids first, so the rules are simple: kids' games should never come with ads, tracking or strangers.
- A grown-up opens the builder and types with their kid
- Every idea is checked before anything is drawn
- Drawings stay in a fixed, friendly cartoon style
- Every drawing is checked again before kids see it
- A real person plays every game before it goes live
- No ads, no chat, no accounts, no tracking scripts
Nothing.
No names, emails, photos, voices or locations. A high score is three letters, like ABC.

Questions parents ask
My kid wants to build an app but I don't know how. Where do we start?
Start with a game: it's the kind of app kids care about most. In our game builder you and your kid describe the characters, our AI draws them, your kid picks how the game plays, and you have a real game to play together in minutes. No coding and no setup.
What age is it for?
Kids about 6 to 12. Younger kids love it with a grown-up typing their ideas; older kids can drive while you watch.
Does my kid need to know how to code?
No. Kids design the game: the characters, the world and the rules. The game itself is built from parts we've made and tested, so it always works.
Is it safe? Can kids make something inappropriate?
A grown-up opens the builder and types with their kid. Every idea is checked before anything is drawn, the AI draws in a fixed kid-friendly style, every drawing is checked again, and a real person on our team plays every game before it goes on the arcade. We keep a log of every request so we can keep improving the checks.
What do you collect about my kid?
Nothing. Kids don't sign up, and we never ask for a kid's name, email, photo or location. If you send a game to the arcade, you (the grown-up) give an email for your receipt, and you choose how your kid is credited.
Does it cost anything?
Playing the arcade, building and previewing games are free. Sending a finished game to the arcade is $5, paid by a grown-up. Live 2-hour build sessions are $149.
Who owns the game my kid makes?
SOEngineered LLC owns the finished game so we can host it free and keep it working. Your kid is credited as the creator, and your family can always play it, share it and show it off, including for school.
Will my kid's name be public?
Only if you choose. Pick a first name, a first name and initial, a nickname, or no name at all. You can change or remove it any time.
What devices does it work on?
Any phone, tablet or computer with a modern browser. Nothing to download; games can be added to the home screen and play offline.
How is this different from coding apps for kids?
Coding apps teach syntax first. We start with the fun part, designing a game and seeing it come alive, so kids finish something they're proud of. Many kids then want to learn to code, and free tools like Scratch are a great next step.
Their idea could be a game by dinner time
Free to build. No coding. Made for kids, built for parents who care.
